Born 5 Jul 30. Educated at Tettenhall College. Studied at Wolverhampton College and Royal College of Art, London. Graduated 1956 (A.R.C.A. Hons). Faculty of Bromley College of Art until 1962, then joined the Institut f��tr��gswissenschaften, Herrischried as assistant to George Adams. Concurrently 1962-70 co-worker at the Goetheanum, Switzerland, 'Westausbau' followed by restoration and research on Rudolf Steiner's sculptural and architectural models. 1969 Publication "Holzplastik Rudolf Steiners" co-authors Fant, Klingborg, Wilkes. (English edition 1975). 1966 Founded sculpture courses in J䲮a Seminariet, Sweden and Emerson College, England. Discovered and developed Flowform Method from 1970 onwards. Travelled extensively (twenty countries, inclu. round-the-world trip 1988). Lectures, workshops; Projective Geometry, Metamorphosis, Sculpture, Flow Design Research and Flowform projects. Up to 1999 some one thousand projects of all kinds in thirty countries with Members of the Flow Design Research Association. Articles and references have appeared in more than three-hundred publications round the world. Flowform Design Ltd. Incorporated 1989.

 

Theodor Schwenk

As engineer Schwenk began work in the research institute at Voiths in Heidenheim. He moved to Aerodynamics in G��ngen before the war and was able there to study the world literature on Flow Research. In 1946 he moved to Weleda in Schw䢩sh Gm��where he could eventually set up a laboratory to study effects of constellations and potentisation on germination and plant growth. 'Grundlagen der Potenzforschung' 1954.

Co-founder 1961 and Director of the Institut f��tr��gsforschung.

 

Flow Design Research Group

This Group was initially founded with John Wilkes, Nick Thomas and Nigel Wells.

Nigel Wells was the main collaborator from 1974 to 1985 at Emerson College and was involved in all design projects during this period. He then returned to Sweden in order to continue as an Associate, building up the work with Flowforms in that country at Virbela Atelje. Hansj��Palm joined for 1986 after which Nick Weidmann took over as design consultant and collaborator.
